Dr. Salim Sfeir, Chaiman of Bank of Beirut, held a dinner in Qatar, on October 23rd, in honor of the Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi. The dinner that took place at La Cigale hotel in Doha comprised the Qatari Minister Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiah, the Lebanese Ambassador in Qatar Mr. Hassan Najem as well as around 700 Lebanese emigrants and businessmen.

On that occasion, Sfeir delivered a speech in which he expressed his joy of having been chosen to accompany the Patriarch in his official visit to Qatar, Qatar whose Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani is giving the Lebanese the opportunity to build the country and who is helping Lebanon in all possible ways.

Sfeir stressed the role Bank of Beirut has been playing to strengthen the economic and banking relationship with this promising Emirate. Bank of Beirut, continued Sfeir, opened an office in Doha to help build the bridge between the Lebanese abroad and those in their motherland.

The Chairman ended by wishing the Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi good luck in his mission.
