Bank of Beirut hosted a webinar on March 16, 2023, in collaboration with The Syndicate of Licensed Clearing Agents in Lebanon and The Lebanese Forwarders Syndicate.

The event focused on advancing digital payment practices and optimizing payment processes for the Port of Beirut.

During the webinar, Mr. Fred Khoury, Head of Transaction Banking at Bank of Beirut, highlighted the bank's array of online solutions designed for businesses. This includes the Port of Beirut electronic payment system, which allows companies, merchants, and clearing agents to settle payments and bills online, bypassing the need for physical bank visits. The system also supports online transaction tracking and the delegation of payment tasks, as well as online cheque issuance for customs orders. Immediate notification to the Port facilitates swift clearance and delivery of imported goods.
