Bank of Beirut, December 12, 2012 – In line with its mission to support the Lebanese Youth, Bank of Beirut delivered the 2012 second batch of scholarships worth US$ 18,000 to the winning students of the 3D University Account draw. Held in the framework of the “U for Youth” Program, which is conceived by the Bank following a fruitful Affinity relationship with major universities in Lebanon, the 3D University Account offers its holders 12 scholarships yearly worth US$ 36,000.
Six students from various Lebanese universities won valuable scholarships with Bank of Beirut “U for Youth” Package. The lucky winners are: Bassel Ahmad Assi, from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Issa Ismail Al Ghawi from the Lebanese International University (LIU), Mira Chawki El Boustani from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Mohamad Wissam Hissi from the Lebanese American University (LAU), Esther Georges El Haddad from Saint Joseph University (USJ), and Jessica Elie Saliba from Notre Dame University of Louaize (NDU).
Georges Aouad, Head of the Retail and Branches Division at Bank of Beirut, delivered the prizes to the winning students, in the presence of Branch managers and executive from the Bank. He conveyed the Bank’s deep commitment to education, and its determination to support and guide the youth in their academic and career path, offering them flexible university and post-graduation loans tailored to their needs and capabilities, a highlight of the “U for Youth” package role.
Once more, Bank of Beirut proves to always being a pioneer in supporting education.
