Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros El Rai honored Chairman and CEO of Bank of Beirut Dr. Salim Sfeir with the Patriarchal medal during the dinner of the Bkerki Socio-Economic Forum in the presence of a number of prominent socio-economic figures.
Patrirach Rai expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts deployed by Dr.Sfeir, describing him as “a true leader”.

“I was hesitant to provide my consent for this summit; I feared that Lebanese expats wouldn’t be coming back to Lebanon again after having spent the summer here, but Dr. Sfeir told me “do not worry, I know the Lebanese immigrants well”, and it was truly a success.”, Patriarch Rai assured.

Dr. Sfeir thanked the Patriarch for this “surprise”, expressing his gratitude towards such an appreciation that he considers “more of a responsibility than an honor”.
