Dr. Salim Sfeir visits New South Wales Prime Minister at Sydney’s Parliament
New South Wales Prime Minister, Gladys Berjiklian, warmly welcomed Dr. Salim Sfeir, CEO of Bank of Beirut, at Sydney’s Parliament. During his visit, they engaged in extensive discussions regarding Lebanese-Australian relationships across various sectors, particularly focusing on economic collaboration.
Dr. Salim Sfeir, renowned for his pivotal role in enhancing economic ties between Lebanon and Australia, was lauded by the New South Wales Premier for the significant expansion of Bank of Sydney – Australia, a part of the Bank of Beirut Group, which has contributed to the creation of numerous job opportunities.
During their meeting, Dr. Sfeir extended a gracious invitation to Prime Minister Berjiklian to visit Lebanon, an invitation that she graciously accepted, noting her Armenian heritage and her personal connections to Lebanon through friends and relatives.
The gathering also included notable figures such as Mr. Nar Khatchadourian, a shareholder at Bank of Beirut, Mr. Anwar Harb, editor of Annahar-Australian edition, and Mr. Antoine Habib, PR manager at Bank of Beirut, underscoring the significance of the discussions held.
