Bringing continuous support to education, Bank of Beirut sponsored for the third time the 2017 edition of the “Oxford Bookworms Reading Competition”, an event organized by Samir Editeur and Oxford University Press.

Aimed at encouraging students to get involved in activities that improve their literacy, develop their language skills, and above all, entice their critical thinking, the competition that dates back to 1997 involves today more than 100 schools and 17000 students.

Twenty prize winners, selected by a jury from the British Council, were celebrated on the 27^th of January 2018 at the Phoenicia Hotel – Beirut.
