Dr. Salim Sfeir, Chairman – CEO of Bank of Beirut was granted on June 30, 2016 the Doctorate Honoris Causa by the American University of Science and Technology (AUST), in tribute to his contributions to the banking and business sector field and his support to AUST.

The ceremony was held during the Commencement Exercises 2015- 2016 at BIEL and was attended by 900 graduates along with eminent political, diplomatic, religious, academic and media figures.

In his address, Dr. Salim Sfeir thanked the AUST for this special tribute and turned to the young people saying: “Tomorrow belongs to you… Be ready, you’re the leaders we need in the upcoming years, the leaders who will ensure political and economic stability for our country”.
