Sfeir: “We call for political security from Baabda, the residence of the President of the Republic”

Bank of Beirut, September 3rd, 2015 - Bank of Beirut celebrated the opening of its new branch in Baabda, in the presence of Dr. Salim Sfeir – Chairman CEO of Bank of Beirut, former andcurrent MPs, Father Germanos Germanos - Rector of the Antonine University, Bank of Beirut's Board members and executives, along with Baabda eminent figures and residents.   

In his opening speech, Dr. Sfeir said: “We’re proud to open thisnew branch in Baabda, as a translation of our commitment to serving thecountry, the Lebanese citizens and the young generations”. Thanking his guests for their presence, Sfeir extended special thanks to the Antonine Order, namely to Father Germanos Germanos - Rector of the Antonine University. He also thanked Father Charbel Batour, Rector of Notre Dame de Jamhour School, vowing to both institutions Bank of Beirut’s commitment towards the Lebanese students and youth, and its endeavors to empower them to invest their potential in their land”. Concluding his speech, Bank of Beirut's Chairman called and wished for “political security from Baabda, the residence of the President of the Republic”, he said.  

From his end, Father Germanos stressed the “close bonds betweenthe Antonine University and Bank of Beirut”. Considering Bank of Beirut as one of the most active banks on the human level, he congratulated the Bank on its new branch and the Antonine University on its new neighbor-bank.
