Salim Sfeir: A Daring Step towards an Innovative Future
Bank of Beirut, May 18, 2015 - Bank of Beirut held an impressive Opening ceremony in inaugurating its new modern and state of-the-art branch in Batroun, a step symbolizing the Bank’s expansion strategy and its growing local network of 65 branches.
Surrounded by a large number of guests, Dr. Salim G. Sfeir, Chairman-CEO of Bank of Beirut - inaugurated the new branch in the presence of H.E. Gebran Bassil, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Batroun Maronite Bishop, Monsignor Mounir Khairallah, representatives of H.E. Boutros Harb, Minister of Telecommunications, and H.E. MP Antoine Zahra, Mr. Roger Toubia, Batroun’s Qaimakam, Bank of Beirut's Board Members and Executive Officers, as well as Batroun’s prominent celebrities and residents.
In his opening speech, Dr. Sfeir pledged that the new branch would be a promising leap forward into the future. He addressed Batroun residents, by stating, “Our new unique branch is a daring step towards a new vision aimed at an innovative future, by providing a service to our nation who had and continues to undergo hardships. And therefore, is well worthy of our supporting and promoting the economic and personal development of the individual; this is our sacred mission.” He continued, “We commit ourselves from Batroun to reflect the new vision of a young dynamic bank in becoming the bank of choice in your city, which will allow you to build the desired future for you and your children.
H.E. Minister Bassil thanked Bank of Beirut Chairman for supporting Batroun’s residents in their development plans, stating that both the Bank and the city are joining hands in enhancing development in both the region and the country. “The initiation of any institution bearing the name of Beirut or Lebanon is a radiant benchmark for Lebanon across borders, the reason behind Lebanon’s success,” the Minister concluded.
It is worth mentioning that Bank of Beirut new modern branch in Batroun, is the third following the inauguration of two recently opened Branches in both Jbeil -Voie 13 and Achrafieh -Ataya. It is anticipated that additional new branches will be incepted soon.
