Bank of Beirut has recently sponsored the LAU Alumni Gala Dinner – Ghana Chapter. Held on November 15, 2014 under the patronage of the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mr. Ali Halabi, the event gathered more than 400 guests. Among the attendees were many eminent figures, Lebanese expatriates, LAU Alumni chapter in Ghana and Bank of Beirut executives.

In his speech, Mr. Georges Aouad, Head of the Retail and Branch Division confirmed Bank of Beirut's commitment towards supporting LAU wherever they are present. Announcing Bank of Beirut's new presence in Ghana, he said: "Being here holds a special meaning. We bring today to Accra a piece of Beirut by launching our presence in the Ghanaian banking marketplace through a new representative office aimed at serving the Lebanese community based in the region".

As the evening drew to a close, four guests were offered an "LAU Affinity Credit Card" loaded with an amount of US$ 500 each, and everyone left with a small cedar holding both Lebanon and Ghana flags, courtesy of Bank of Beirut.
