On Saturday, May 24th, Mr. Salim Sfeir, CEO Bank of Beirut, was granted the medal of the National Order of the Cedar, the second highest national award, by Mr. Michel Sleiman, the President of the Lebanese Republic, represented by the Minister of Education, Mr. Elias Bou Saab at a ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut.

After receiving the medal, Sfeir thanked the President of the Republic and Minister Bou Saab and focused in his speech on the decoration itself and on Bank of Beirut family saying,

“…I really believe it is a token of high esteem that I offer back to my colleagues and friends who have never fallen short of attempts, hard work, loyalty and commitment to make of Bank of Beirut a first-class Lebanese institution at the service of Lebanon and the Lebanese no matter where they are.

I, together with my colleagues of Bank of Beirut, solemnly pledge to continue our hard work for Lebanon and the Lebanese to be forever worthy of the rank of Officer of the National Order of the Cedar.”
