The Lebanese Ice Hockey team in Canada defeated the Canadian Argenteuil club at the McGill University arena, with a 7-5 score. Sponsored by Bank of Beirut, the game was attended by a large Lebanese audience, among whom were the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gebran Bassil, Lebanon’s ambassador to Canada Mr. Fadi Ziadeh, Chairman-CEO of Bank of Beirut Dr. Salim Sfeir and the President of the Lebanese Ice Hockey Federation in Canada Charles El Mir.

The game that started with a goal for the Canadian club and that was commented by sports media personality Tony Baroud, kept its intensity till its final moment, when Lebanon’s victory was announced with a 7-5 score. Flags of Lebanon and Bank of Beirut were then raised to the beat of the traditional Lebanese Dabke.

Chairman - CEO Dr. Sfeir presented the medals and cups to the champions.
