Bank of Beirut Wins 5 New Banker Awards

In a new banking achievement, five new accolades have recently been conferred upon Bank of Beirut awards record. The Bank was recognized as “Fastest Growing Bank”, “Best Retail Bank”, “Best Commercial Bank”, and “Best Transaction Bank” in Lebanon by Banker Middle East Awards. Bank of Beirut Chairman, Dr. Salim Sfeir was also granted the “Chairman Lifetime Award”.  The awards were presented during a press conference held on August 29, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel – Beirut, in the presence of MP Paula Yaacoubian, President of the Press Syndicate Aouni Al-Kaaki, President of Editors’ Syndicate Elias Aoun, Banker Middle East representatives, together with Bank of Beirut Board members and a large assembly of media figures.

 

Upon receiving the awards from Omer Hussain – Commercial Director and Daniel Bateman, Business Development Manager at Banker Middle East, Dr. Salim G. Sfeir, Chairman-CEO expressed his Bank’s pride in receiving these coveted accolades. As to how the Bank got there, Sfeir stated: “Bank of Beirut has been realizing the excellent results of many years planning
and strong process execution. Yet, we know that the journey doesn’t stop here... and these awards provide additional fresh incentive to go on improving everything we do.” On a parallel note, Sfeir called upon all parties in the country to speed up the cabinet formation process and to take the necessary decisions and measures to support the financial and economic situation, considering that “the government formation delay would have repercussions on the national economy.”

 

For his part, Banker Middle East Commercial Director Omer Hussain congratulated Bank of Beirut on its success and Banking excellence, noting that the Banker Middle East awards, which are considered as a genuine recognition of financial excellence in the Middle East region, aim at rewarding financial and banking institutions with exceptional performance.
