Chairman-CEO Dr. Salim Sfeir: "Traditional and Digital Banking Come Together at BoB to offer a unique Hybrid Customer experience"

Beirut, May 22, 2017: In line with its ongoing quest to meet all customers' requirements, Bank of Beirut (BoB) has announced the launch of its Jdeideh - Bauchrieh branch during a spectacular inauguration ceremony held on Thursday the 18th of May in the presence of some 300 guests, including Bank of Beirut Chairman-CEO Dr. Salim G. Sfeir, the Bank's top management, VIP customers, friends, bloggers and the press.

The event was unprecedented in Lebanon's banking industry. While a cocktail reception was organized in front of the branch, the branch itself was theatrically transformed into a fully-functioning bank with employees behind their desks and counters, ready to take calls, handle transactions and answer questions.

During the ceremony, Bank of Beirut announced that the new branch has been upgraded to offer "Digital Banking" in addition to traditional banking services, whereby customers would choose to enter a room and remotely interact with a Bank representative via a real-time screen. To highlight this major announcement, BoB injected high-tech details into the venue featuring two giant screens, projections, special branding, and architectural lighting among other tech-inspired aspects.

Yet, the evening's ultimate technology highlight was undoubtedly the speech delivered by Dr. Salim Sfeir, BoB's Chairman-CEO, which embodied the essence of the new branch and the "Hybrid Banking" concept. In fact, the speech was synchronized with special video edits projected on large screens as well as interactivity between the two BoB’s; BoB, the conventional banker for classic banking customers, and BoB, the digital representative for "Digital Banking" enthusiasts.

Commenting the event, Bank of Beirut Chairman-CEO Dr. Salim Sfeir stated: "We, at BoB, are keen to catering to all our customers' needs; the reason behind our decision in adopting a blend of banking techniques to serve our customers in a manner that suits them best.  Customers     seeking to establish a long-term bond of trust, we offer traditional banking with in-branch, one-on-one interactions with our bankers. For the tech-savvy on the other hand, we have introduced the "Digital Banking" concept which ensures them utmost convenience rather than a familiar face. It's a unique experience that joins two worlds under the BoB roof."

It is worth mentioning that Bank of Beirut already launched the "Hybrid Banking" concept through “Satellite” outlets in remote areas. .
